Hurt With No Name
Silence has a breaking point,
and mine came like a wave.
It was hurt wearing armor.
It was truth in my eyes.
Maybe healing is listening
and holding it gently.
I was never too much. ♡

Behind the song
“What I called anger was just hurt with no name.”
I wrote Hurt With No Name about the feelings I learned to push down before I ever understood them. I knew how to look calm, stay small, and keep everything under control, but that silence was building a wall inside me. What looked like anger on the outside was really pain asking for a language of its own.
The song follows that anger until it reveals the shame and grief beneath it. Every time I was told I was too intense or needed to be okay, those words became a voice I carried. Underneath that voice was a younger part of me still waiting to be seen, held, and reassured that she was never too loud or too deep.
Healing here is not about becoming someone new or fixing every feeling. It is about listening to the parts of me that survived, holding them gently, and letting the truth replace the shame. I was never too much, and I was never the blame. The hurt was love that never had a safe place to land—and naming it is how I finally stop pushing it away.
