Inside My Head

I don’t sleep much, I just drift
ceilings know my secrets.

Welcome inside my head—
it’s loud in here, it’s not pretend.

I don’t need saving,
I need respect.

I want a place I can exhale. ♡

Behind the song

The story inside it

“This is me unguarded. This is the truth inside my head.”

I wrote Inside My Head for the moments when the room gets quiet but my mind does not. It is about replaying conversations, reading the spaces between someone’s words, and carrying feelings so deeply that I sometimes forget which ones are actually mine.

For a long time, I thought loving someone meant staying quiet, asking for less, and making myself smaller so I would never feel like a problem. The song lets that hidden fear speak honestly: the fear of being left, of being too much, and of waiting to be chosen while pretending I do not need anything.

By the end, the song becomes a boundary and a promise to myself. I am not asking to be saved or fixed. I am asking for honesty, presence, respect, and the kind of love where I can finally exhale without disappearing inside it.
