No One Sees It

The hardest battles
don’t leave bruises.

I don’t need perfection,
I just need protection.

Until then I’ll breathe,
I’ll try, I’ll rise.

I’m still here. And that counts. ♡

Behind the song

The story inside it

“I don’t need saving, I just need someone staying.”

I wrote No One Sees It about living in a body that keeps responding to danger long after everyone else believes the danger is gone. From the outside, I can look composed. Inside, one sound can pull me into an old moment, my heart can race before I understand why, and the past can feel more present than the room I am standing in.

What hurts almost as much as the trauma is being treated like safety should be simple. Being told not to worry or stress can make an invisible battle feel even lonelier. I am not asking anyone to erase the past or solve every trigger. I am asking for patience, protection, and someone willing to slow down, learn my storms, and stay beside me while my body finds its way back to the present.

The ending holds both loneliness and hope. I believe there can be a love that does not flinch at fear and a person who can say, “You’re safe, I’m here,” without making my needs feel like a burden. Until then, the victory is that I keep breathing, trying, and rising. No one may see the war behind my eyes, but I am still here—and that survival counts for more than they will ever know.
