Two Voices

Got a war in my chest,
got a storm in my bones.

That pain you feel?
It’s not your identity.

You don’t chase what walked away—
you redefine what you allow.

I’m still here… and that means somethin’. ♡

Behind the song

The story inside it

“You’re not hard to love—they just couldn’t meet you.”

I wrote Two Voices as a conversation between the part of me that is exhausted by pain and the part of me that still knows the truth. The first voice is carrying broken trust, replaying every wound, and trying to survive inside a body and mind that never seem to feel safe.

Then the music strips back and another voice steps in. It does not deny what happened or rush the grief. It reminds me that being hurt is not the same as being broken, that giving real love was never weakness, and that someone else mishandling it does not make their failure mine to wear.

The ending is the moment those voices begin to move in the same direction. I do not need to chase closure from confusion or keep living underneath what happened. I can choose clarity, redefine what I allow, and recognize that finding myself is not the same as being lost. I am still here—and that means something.
